These courses are completed over three days (20 hours) and include on-court and lecture room presentations. In some cases it may be possible to schedule two courses in a row, making a total of five or six days.
The goal of the course is to provide coaches with the latest information on specific sport science and coaching topics, as requested by the National Association. The number of candidates per course will depend on the type and characteristics of each course, but as a guide between 20 and 100 participants (nominated by the National Association) can attend.
Some of the topics available under the Specific Theme courses include: biomechanics of tennis, strength and conditioning for tennis players, injury prevention for tennis performance and mental skills training.
