Ghana hosts Regional Coaches Course

The Ghana Tennis Association (GTA) hosted an ITF/OS Regional Coaching Advanced Players Course (Level 2 course) from 29 January to 9 February at the Accra Sports Stadium, under the guidance of the International Tutor, Hrvoje Zmajic (CRO).  Seven coaches from Ghana, Nigeria and Botswana took part in this special Course for former Davis Cup and Fed Cup players which was supported by Olympic Solidarity (OS) and the Ghana National Olympic Committee.

The main goal of this special Coaching Advanced Players Course is to engage and provide opportunities to professional players and coaches involved in professional tennis to benefit from coach education and obtain an ITF coaching certification.  

ITF tutor, Hrvoje Zmajic commented, “It was a special group of candidates and it was pleasure to work with them. I am sure that by combining their extensive playing experience with the coaching skills acquired during the course will enable them to provide high quality coaching to the next generation of promising players".

All the course participants received ITF Certificates of Attendance as well as Certificates of Attendance from Olympic Solidarity and those who successfully passed all the course exams will receive their Coaching Advanced Players / Level 2 certificate from their national tennis federation.
